The "Crystal Mosaic" of the title is actually a plastic overlay that provides a recess to keep tiles from being accidentally bumped out of place. Four overlays are included in this expansion.

Not entirely worth it.

The plastic sheets are both a godsend and a curse. The scoring cube doesn’t fit great. I feel like the new boards could be made with basic paper promos that were given away. Silly that it costs $17. Should be closer to $10. Still, the variants are good fun. Just think it’s overpriced.
