In Russian Railroads, players compete in an exciting race to build the largest and most advanced railway network. In order to do so, the players appoint their workers to various important tasks.

The development of simple tracks will quickly bring the players to important places, while the modernization of their railway network will improve the efficiency of their machinery. Newer locomotives cover greater distances and factories churn out improved technology. Engineers, when used effectively, can be the extra boost that an empire needs to race past the competition.

There are many paths to victory: Who will ride into the future full steam ahead and who will be run off the rails? Whose empire will overcome the challenges ahead and emerge victorious?

Surprisingly easy to teach

Russian Railroads doesn't reinvent the wheel, which makes it relatively easy to teach to anyone who's already familiar with the worker placement mechanism. The engine building part of the game feels very satisfying, as you make more and more points as the game progresses. Could feel more thematic, however, although the game is so satisfying that it doesn't really matter.

I was not usre at first, but this game did haunt our nights me and my wife for a good two weeks. A really fun game!

Very nice game

From the art to the mechanics, RR is a very well made game. There is a real satisfaction from slowly building your game plan and see the score increase, much like a train does. Very slowly at first and gradually becomes unstoppable.
